Hi!

My name is Kaylin and I’m an artist and educator based out of Portland, Maine. I’m originally from Connecticut and I earned my B.A. from Simmons University where I double majored in English and Studio Art. After several years of working for various non-profits in the Boston area, I moved to Vinalhaven, Maine where I worked as an Island Institute Fellow. During my fellowship, I helped design and teach technology classes at the Vinalhaven School and assisted teachers in using classroom technology tools effectively. In 2026, I graduated from the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Maine College of Art & Design. As an educator, my interests lie in craft and the joy of making, as well as incorporating Makers Movement principles into art education in thoughtful and intentional ways.

I love exploring my personal artistic practice by trying out lots of different mediums. Outside of school, I can be found knitting, weaving, cooking, reading or hanging out with my cat, Styx.
